MATCH REPORT

LAST BALL DRAMA

Buckingham Town 3rds gained a winning draw in an amazing match against Chearsley. Batting first after being put into bat Buckingham collapsed but

were rescued by Dom Pritchard(50) and opener Tim Archdeacon who batted

sensibily for 66 to enable a useful score of 214-9 to be reached with valuable

runs coming from B. Valambhia 21n.o. and L. Bridges(21).

Chearsley always looked in control after a good start but Buckingham grabbed

a few wickets to make matters interesting and fought back well. With twelve needed off the last over the game was poised but with two needed to win off the last ball tension was high. Chearsley got their two runs but their umpire

signalled "one short" so the scores were tied but Buckingham gained more points than their visitors who were "gutted".
