3XI BEAT LOCAL RIVALS

Buckingham Town 3rds remain top of the table after a three wicket win over local rivals Brackley 2nds. Brackley won the toss and batted but struggled to 34-4 against a young bowling attack of M. Dipple 2-17 and Ben Thorne 2-24 who both did well. Brackley improved matters but then Dom

Pritchard bowled very well taking 5-47 as Brackley made a useful 151 all out.

Buckingham lost opener Tim Archdeacon straight away but recovered through

Kev Saving(20) and Russ Thompson(39) . Their good work was carried on by

Young Johnny Cater(19) who batted well. Buckingham at 87-6 looked abit

Shaky but a fine knock by Nev Pritchard(36) swung the game Buckingham’s way as Buckingham gained 30 more valuable points with B. Valambhia 14n.o.

hitting the winning runs.
