Buckingham
Town's promising colt, Shiv Talsania, produced a classy knock but still ended on the
losing side as Town II hosted Dinton II.
Talsania opened the innings and performed
with aplomb as he and Paul Board put on 94 runs for the first wicket.
Board departed for a solid 38 runs before
being replaced by his namesake Nick.
Talsania reached his half century in 95
minutes while stand in skipper Nick Board produced some good early season strokeplay.
Talsania (62) was only the second wicket to
fall with 150 runs before Board (43) was dismissed late on as Town posted 171 for 4
wickets from their 40 overs.
In reply,The Thorne brothers, Ollie and Ben,
removed the Dinton II top order while debutants Keith Rowlingson and Anant Pershavaria
chipped in with wickets as Dinton II stuttered.
A good eighth wicket stand swung the match
back in Dinton II's favour with Piggott's runs from the number nine berth taking his side
home to a narrow two-wicket victory.
Ollie Thorne finished with 3 for 22, while
Simon Board claimed 2 for 48 late on.
