2XI BACK TO WINNING WAYS

Town 11's bounced back to winning ways with a six wicket win over bottom of the table Tiddington.
Batting first, Tiddington got off to a flying start against Town's opening attack of Sly and seventeen year old debutant Smith on a lightening outfield, but the intoduction of Valambhia's slow off breaks slowed the momentum down. As pressure was put on the Tiddington batsmen they began to take more risks and wickets began to fall. Sly settled into a good rythmn and collected 7 for 43 whilst Valambhia claimed 3 for 43 as the visitors were bowled out for 139.
Town openers Taylor and Judd found the going difficult against an all spin opening attack and with an old ball, low wicket and some turn runs were hard to come by.
The loss of both openers with the score on 60 meant that left handers Nick Board and Shiv Talsania had to rebuild the innings. Talsania(19) played some tidy shots before he was caught although it was left to the experienced Board to guide the team home undefeated on 47 with overs to spare.
