Princes Risborough vs Buckingham Town 2nd XI
Nick Board writes:
Town 11's extended their unbeaten run to five games when they drew away
to Princes Risborough, securing valuable bonus points.
Batting first, Risborough lost an early wicket when Spragg bowled Linger
in his second over and Hitchcock(22) looked dangerous until he was removed
by the same bowler soon after. Morton (58) began to take control and with
Greaves(24) put on fifty runs for the fifth wicket until Sly bowled Greaves.
Spragg (4-49) and Sly(3-55) continued to bowl well and Matt Arnull completed
an econimcal spell of seventeen overs. Llate order batsmen Brooker(29) and
Witney(16) put together a valuable contribution to take Risborough to a
useful 197 for 8 at tea.
With five changes to last week's team, Town's batting lacked experience
and to chase the total set was always going to be a tough challenge on a
difficult wicket which was exploited by the home side bowlers.
However, some gutsy performances by Tom Murray (22) and Russell Thompson
(27) and a late order cameo by Ryan Spragg(39) enabled Town to reach 144
for 8 and pick up a valuable fourteen points.

Didcot 2nd XI vs Buckingham Town 3rd XI
Bob Hutt writes:
Buckingham Town 3rds lost for only the 2nd time this year
losing to Didcot 2nds by 7 wickets but are still in pole
position to finish runners-up in Div 8.
Put into bat on a damp wicket Buckingham lost two wickets in
the first over but recovered with a fine knock from skipper
Stuart Helps(69) and Tim Archdeacon(24).
Dom Pritchard
(44) also batted well as Buckingham were bowled out for 199.
Mure and Helps bowled early on but catches went down as the
home side won by 7 wickets.
Lawrence DeSilva and
Dom Pritchard both also bowled well. An injury to Ben Stafford
prevented him from fielding and keeper Nev Pritchard and skipper
Helps both sustained injuries which did not help the cause.
