High Wycombe U12 vs Buckingham Town U12, Bucks Cup
Karen Cater writes:
Buckingham Town Under 12's met High Wycombe in the Semi Final of
the Bucks Cup. Playing away from home & with a holiday weakened
side Town were narrowly beaten by 11 runs. Wycombe won the toss &
elected to bat, some quick fielding led to two run outs; Adam Bone
in particular displaying athletic determination in his returns to
the keeper. Further wickets came from Jack Deal (1-11 from 4) Luke
Stafford (2-11 from 2) & Callum Cater (2-17 from 4) . Wycombe
ended on 92-7 from their 20 overs.
In reply Town got off to a poor start, usual bankers failed to
match their recent form. Callum Cater made a confident stand
scoring 15 before being caught. Rob Laird slogged the ball around
with class scoring 24, including two huge sixes. Under 10 Tom
Stephenson was unphased & scored a fine 10 while Luke Stafford
finished unbeaten on 5. Buckingham ended on 81 all out.
