Buckingham Town U13 vs Overstone Park U14
Chris Wilkes writes:
Town under 13s had the first setback of their season in a Shires
league fixture against a strong Overstone Park under 14 side,
played at Twyford. Nonetheless it was a useful development game,
with a number of positives.
Only spinners Toby O'Neill and Josh Goodey slowed up the visitors'
progress as Overstone reached a daunting 255 for 5 in their 40
overs, helped by the even paced artificial pitch and a fast
outfield. Under 12 Callum Cater bowled well for his two wickets
and took two good catches in the deep. Stuart Powell and Goodey
also took good catches. Town's reply of 108 all out in 27 overs
owed everything to a sensible stand of 57 between man of the match
Harsh Jethra (26) and under 12 Jack Bridges (36).
