A solid opening stand of 68 off 18 overs between Town's Matthew
Thatcher (28) and Nick Board (31). 15 year old Jonny Cater (15)
played confidently at one end, surviving for 18 overs while his
more experienced team mates donated their wickets at the other.
Extras was the highest score (35).
Ryan Newhook & Richard Howell for Vale took 3 wickets each. Paul
Streater picked up the early wicket of Paul Lazenbury (14) but
injured himself in the process and was unable to complete the
over. Brown (70) & Murray (43) put on 115 for 2nd wicket, both
eventually caught off the bowling of young Shiv Talsania.

Buckingham Town 3rds won their third game in a row with
a comfortable 6 wicket win over Aylesbury Town 2nds.
Aylesbury put into bat were always struggling and with
Buckingham fielding and bowling well were bowled out for
just 97.
Good catches from Hutt,R.Pritchard,R.Thompson
and Matt Dipple were aided by a superb run out by R.Thompson.
Nev Pritchard made a smart stumping
Suresh Talsania bowled well again taking 3-32 from his 18
overs and Matt Dipple 3-26 and Skipper Stuart Helps 3-9
supported a good all round effort.
Buckingham were seen home with Tim Archdeacon(35) and Russell
Thompson 27n.o. top scorers as Buckingham had promoted a
couple of the colts into the middle order.
