Buckingham Town U13s vs Milton Keynes Park
Chris Wilkes writes:
Buckingham Town U13s continued their good start to the season with an 153
run win over MK Park in the Bucks League.
Toby O'Neill and Josh Goff put on a rapid opening stand of 63 before each
was out for 27. Then man of the match Dilshan Direkze hit eight fours in
three explosive overs before retiring on 33. Stuart Powell retired on 30
before Harsh Jethra (13) and Alex Guntert (9) finished the innings with an
unbroken stand of 30, for Town to post a total of 186 for 3 (exactly the
same as the previous week!).
Town then restricted their hosts to a total of 33, made up of singles and
extras. After a tidy three over spell from Richard Collett the wickets
tumbled to Josh Goodey (2), Powell (2), Ben Austin, Dryden Williams, Jethra
and Direkze. O'Neill made a smart stumping and combined with Jonny Neeves
and Austin (who took the fielding award) in two run-outs. As captain,
O'Neill set tight attacking fields which resulted in catches at short extra
cover for Williams, Direkze and Goff.
