Put in to bat, Town's openers made a bright start before a succession of impatient attacking shots brought disaster as Town collapsed to 72 all out, with Phil Bolton taking 5-12 in 5 overs of teasing off spin. Despite the top six all being accomplished county batsmen only Nick Wilkes (21) and Krishan Talsania (16) reached double figures. In reply Towcester coasted home with 6 overs to spare, Elliot Parish top scoring with 32 not out. Matt Yuill also had a good game, taking 2-14 and scoring 14. |
