As Bucks County cup & League winners Town took on Beds Champions Leighton Buzzard away from home in difficult drizzly conditions. Winning the toss Town put Leighton Buzzard into bat & restricted them to 113-5 from their 20 overs, wickets falling to Callum Cater, Adam Bone, Josh Hill, Steve Brunning & a smart run out from Adam Davies. In reply Town got off to a fantastic start when Laird reached a retirement total of 30 from just 9 balls, an innings which included 2 sixes & 4 boundaries. A solid 26 not out from Bone & 15 from Steve Brunning put Town in a dominant position before Ali Shaw scored an unbeaten 22 with a six to win the match with 4 overs remaining.
