Buckingham Town Ist XI had a 10 wicket win over Irthlingborough in their Sunday F.G.Watts League match.

The Northants side batting first scored only 141 all out with Charles Ramson 3-44, Dom Pritchard 3-20 the main wicket takers and Vish Valambhia had 2-23.

Brothers James Tomlinson 60 n.o. and Leigh Tomlinson 55 not out gave Buckingham a comfortable victory.

Stewkley vs Buckingham Town 2nd XI

Buckingham Town 2nds lost their Sunday friendly by 7 wkts against Stewkley.

Buckingham put into bat saw Russell Thompson(40) and Chris Horsler(26) hit the ball hard and batting well but slumped to 112-5.

Kevin DeSilva (65n.o.) and skipper Bob Hutt(31) put on 80 runs for the sixth wicket to turn the game, both batting well around enabling Town a respectable total of 212-8.

Stewkley won with 4 overs remaining thanks to some hard hitting from Owens(72) and Wright(52) as Buckingham failed to break through. Youngsters T. Hill, C.Cater, and Adam Bone all did well with the ball.

Brijesh Valambhia had a tidy spell of 1-30 from his eight overs and youngster Tom Jones was competent behind the stumps.
