Badby U15 vs Buckingham Town U15
Chris Wilkes writes:
Buckingham Town had their first reverse of the season in a close
game away to a determined Badby side in the South Northants U15
league.
Apart from Harsh Jethra (20), the top order got out early as a
result of good bowling and some carelessness as Town fell to 53
for 6 in the 14th over. A sensible recovery by Toby O'Neill (16
not out) and Josh Goodey (21 not out) then brought the final score
to 104-7, a fairly competitive target in view of the long
boundaries and occasional low bounce.
However, Town's bowling and fielding were never quite tight enough
as Badby scraped home in the last over to win by 6
wickets. Dilshan Direkze was pick of the bowlers with 2 for 11
from 3 overs, while Josh Goff made some fine stops and took the
only catch.
For the hosts, B Hallett had an excellent game, taking 4 for 8
from 5 overs and scoring 50 retired.
