Radway U15 vs Buckingham Town U15 (South Northants League)

Buckingham Town resumed winning ways in the South Northants U15 league with a 102 run margin at Radway.

Town made an opening stand of 201 to set a challenging 20 over target as Josh Goff (50 retired), Nick Wilkes (52 retired), Dilshan Direkze (50 retired) and Stuart Powell (39 not out) ran hard and played some fine strokes to every corner of the ground, finishing with 26 fours and two sixes.

In reply Radway lost early wickets before a fighting stand between J Roberts (45) and A Johnstone (27) rebuilt the innings, which finished at 99 all out. Wickets fell to Max Jarman (2), Toby O'Neill (2), Olly Collins (2), Jack Robbins and Danny Hobden, and Jarman achieved a smart run-out in combination with keeper Tom Jones, who also took two catches.


Buckingham Town U13 vs Aston Clinton U13

Buckingham Town under 13's secured their place in the Cup semi finals after a thrilling end against Aston Clinton.

Put into bat, Aston Clinton set a target of 107 with the loss of 9 wickets. Top wicket taker was Anthony Carver taking 3 wickets from 4 balls. Other wickets fell to Tom Hill(2), Luke Stafford & Rob Laird along with 2 run outs.

In reply Town got off to a good start, Tom Hill hitting 22 but the game hung in the balance until Pete Stanford(19 no) & Steve Brunning(20 no) came to the crease. Brunning stood up the challenge & hit a 4 from the last ball to win the match.

Town finished on 109-5.


Buckingham Town U11 vs Westbury U11

Buckingham Town under 11's were comprehensively beaten by Westbury.

Batting first Westbury posted a nett score of 299, wickets falling to Drew Burrows & Daniel Major along with a run out.

In reply Buckingham batted well & were making a game of it until a heavy fall of wickets during the final pairing.

Town nett scored 210, Josh Hill top scoring with 18 no.
