Buckingham Town U13 vs Westbury
Karen Cater writes:
Buckingham Town under 13's secured their place in the Bucks Cup
Final after beating Westbury with 5 overs to spare.
Batting first Westbury made a steady start, ex Town player Alex
Walters retiring on 31. Westbury found it difficult to build
partnerships against the pace of Jack Deal & Adam Bone & they
finished on 88-6 from their 20 overs. Wicket takers were Jack
Deal, Adam Bone, Steve Brunning, Tom Hill & Rob Laird.
Town got off to a great start with the bat, openers Tom Hill &
Jack Deal looking confident & playing some fine shots. Hill made
11 before making way for Bone to arrive & play with maturity. Deal
stole the batting show as he had done in the previous league
meeting retiring on a classy 29. Laird made 12 before Brunning (3
no) and Bone(21 no) took them over the finishing line. The Final
is being played at Cublington on Friday July 8th against either
Beaconsfield or Gerrards Cross.
