Buckingham Town vs Banbury 20

Winning the toss and electing to bat was not really what skipper Gear wanted, but Buckingham Town started steadily before Harris was well caught by Khaud for 22. The next 5 wickets then fell for 21 runs in a very disappointing spell for Buckingham Town.

The day was only rescued by a spirited performance from James Gear, who coming in at number 8 remained at 72 not out at close. Tight bowling and good team fielding by Banbury 20 confined Buckingham Town to 146 for 9 off their 50 overs.

Banbury 20 started their innings very solidly with Buckingham Town failing to secure any early break through. Mitchell and Burbidge put on 53 before Jason Ell dismissed Mitchell for 31. Burbidge and Hawkins then went on to secure the required runs so defeating Buckingham Town by 9 wickets.

Morris Motors 2nd XI vs Buckingham Town 3rd XI

Buckingham won the toss and batted and were in trouble at 56-4 but an 82 run partnership between Robin Pritchard(56) and skipper Bob Hutt(32) saw them recover and valuable runs from Nick Wilkes 29 n.o. and Keith Rowlingson(18) enabled Buckingham to close on a respectable 195-9.

M. Motors lost two early wickets but skipper Ahmed(67n.o) saw them home with Chris Horsler the pick of the Buckingham bowlers.
