Batting first Town started brightly with Jack Deal(14) & Callum Cater(12) playing positive attacking cricket. Their departures only gave way to more of the same from Tom Hill(20), Rob Laird(18), Josh Mallett(9) & Steve Brunning(22) before Ali Shaw(4) sacrificed his wicket looking for a big shot off the last ball. The innings ended on 115-6 from 20 overs. Town were in the same positive mood in the field, Jack Deal taking 2 fine wickets in his first over. Further wickets fell to Hill(3), Josh Booth(2), Cater(2) & Luke Stafford who also forced a run out from an exquisite direct hit. Old Bradwell finished on 40 all out. |
