Towcestrians vs Buckingham Town 2nd XI
Bob Hutt writes:
Buckingham Town 2nds lost their sunday friendly off
the last ball of the game when Towcesterians scrambled a run
off a "wide".
Buckingham batting first started poorly but
recovered with Chris Coxhill(20) and Russ Thompson(27).
Chris Horsler smashed a lively 43 and well supported by 12 year
old Adam Bone who impressed with 33n.o. saw Buckingham to
180 all out.
Towcesterians started very well and were in
cruise control until a collapse saw them scramble home by
one wicket to win in an exciting finish.
Adam Bone bowled superbly taking 4-17 and 13 year old Callum Cater
did likewise with 1-23 from his eight overs.
Two stars of the future without doubt.
