Buckingham Town U15 (South Northants League) vs Kings Sutton
Chris Wilkes writes:
Buckingham Town kept their 100% record with a 58 run win at home
to Kings Sutton in the South Northants U15 league.
Town made a solid start, reaching 60 for 1 at the half way point
through openers Josh Goff (33) and Nick Wilkes (15). Then the
middle order supplied the acceleration as Harsh Jethra (46 not
out) led partnerships with Stuart Powell (10), Rob How (16) and
Tom Jones (8 not out) to close on 142-5 after 20 overs.
Jonny Neeves then glanced the bails off first leg then off stump
with angled Yorkers to remove two of the visitors' top order and
U13 seamers Adam Bone and Callum Cater shared 8 overs for 20 runs
to snuff out any chance of meeting the run rate. Further wickets
fell to Bone, Josh Goodey, Wilkes and Dilshan Direkze (2), thanks
to four catches and a stumping, and to a direct hit run out from
long leg by Neeves.
Kings Sutton closed on 84-8, with Will Sandal carrying his bat for
a determined 39 not out.
