Buckingham Town U15 (South Northants League) vs Middleton Cheney
Chris Wilkes writes:
Buckingham Town beat Middleton Cheney by 41 runs in the South
Northants U15 league thanks to another good batting performance.
Josh Goff and Nick Wilkes shared an entertaining second wicket
partnership of 97 in 10 overs before both retired on 50, each with
7 fours and 2 sixes. Then Tom Jones hit a brisk 24 to help Town to
finish on 142 for 5.
David Eaton with 52 (retired) was the mainstay of the visitors'
101 for 7 but good catching by Town ensured that wickets fell
regularly at the other end. The highlight was Matt Rowlingson's
dash from third man to take a diving catch at ankle height. The
keeper, Jones, took three and Goff one. Toby O'Neill took 2 for 12
from 4, with wickets also falling to Goff (2), Rowlingson, Josh
Goodey and Jack Robbins.
