Buckingham Town vs Old Northamptonians - F.G.Watts Final
Andy Bone writes:
In the F.G.Watts Final, Town went down to a 54-run defeat against
Old Northamptonians at Wollaston.
Batting first, Old Northamptonians lost their top order early on
thanks to a three wicket burst from seamer Chris Harris after a
good opening spell by promising youngster Lawrence DeSilva.
Peter Heady and Dom Pritchard also bowled well before the
introduction of Vish Valambhia, three for 25 from six overs,
pegged back Old Northamptonians before they closed on 173 for 9 in
their 40 overs.
Dixon and Hamill top scored with 30 runs each.
Town got off to a poor start from which they never recovered,
despite the best efforts of James Tomlinson (48), who held the
innings together.
Dom Pritchard (19) was the only other play to make double figures
as Town were dismissed for 119 all out.
Morley-Bunker was the pick of the bowling as he returned with
figures of four for 24 in nine overs, while Dixon completed a fine
all round display with three for 8.

Bob Hutt writes:
Buckingham Town 2nds ended their season with a comfortable 6 wicket
win over Stony Stratford 2nds.
Stony batted first and always struggled against Towns young
bowlers Andy Norman, Dilsan Direkze and Adam Bone who all bowled
well as did Brijesh Valambhia.
Stony could only make 111-9
from their 40 overs. Buckingham won easily thanks to skipper
Bob Hutt(45) who was in good form.
