Both sides were well understrength and Town's youngsters showed plenty of spirit and this was an excellent result for the Town. Town were inserted and scored 103 all out on a damp pitch and slow outfield. Openers N.Norman(23) and S. Helps(36) made a good solid start but only Andy Norman(14n.o.) and Tom Hill(11) reached double fugures afterwards. Abbas Younis took 7-22 for the Oxon side. Motors struggled from the word go as Steve Brunning took a superb catch early on and the Oxon side were dismissed for only 52. Andy Norman 6-33 and skipper Stuart Helps 3-15 bowled very well with the youngsters very keen in the field especially Josh Mallett. Innings of Buckingham Town 3rds
