Marston St Lawrence U15 vs Buckingham Town U15
Tom Jones writes:
On a sunny evening in the picturesque village of Marston St
Lawrence, Buckingham Town CC U15s started their season with a
comfortable 9 wicket win.
The win was based on tidy fielding and accurate bowling. Opening
bowlers Jonny Neeves and Adam Bone combined to create an effective
partnership and ensured that the opposition made a slow start (23
for one from the first eight overs). Change bowlers Callum Cater
and Josh Goodey both bowled well finishing with figures of (4
overs 2-13) and (4 overs 1-13) respectively as the innings closed
on 72-6. The other wickets came from Bone and Harsh Jethra. There
was a well executed run out by Neeves and Nick Wilkes and catches
by Goodey and Jethra.
Openers Josh Goff (7) and Jethra (26) laid down solid foundations
for their season. Then Dilshan Direkze (34) and Jethra used the
unchallenging situation to bat carefully and seal victory with 5
overs to spare.
