New Bradwell vs Buckingham Town 2nd XI
Bob Hutt writes:
Buckingham Town 2nds lost their last sunday friendly by 53 runs
away to New Bradwell who fielded quite a strong side with several
first XI players.
Bradwell put into bat started well but Town grabbed the vital
wicket of prolific scorer Z. Ahmed(34) through Andy Norman who
bowled very well.
Bradwell slumped to 157-8 but a late flurry saw them to a
respectable 206 all out. Colt Tom Hill bowled well with 2-24.
Jonny Cater took a superb catch running in from the boundary and
diving at the same time. Andy Norman 2-54 and Chris Horsler 2-40
also did well.
Town made a good brisk start through Ben Stafford(43) and Ian
Wilkinson (38) reaching 73 without loss and then wickets tumbled
to 116-6 and finally Town were dismissed for 153.
The only other players to reach double figures were skipper
Hutt(17), and R. Thompson and C. Horsler both scored 12 each.
