Harborough Hamtune vs Buckingham Town Midweek
Bob Hutt writes:
Buckingham midweek lost to Harborough Hamtune by
3 wickets.
Skipper Hutt won the toss and batted
and Town slumped to 24-3.
Opener Ben Stafford
(31) did well before Jimad Khan improved matters with
a brisk 57.
Town then at 120-6 after Khan's dismissal
were in trouble.
An excellent partnership of 69 from
colt Adam Bone(50) and Hutt(18) improved matters.
Bone in particular played some superb shots.
Town
finished on 218 all out with tail enders Steve Brunning(10)
and senior debutante Aaron King 14 no scoring useful runs.
Hamtune had to thank Market Harborough duo C. Weir(68) and
M. Trevor 76no for their win. Both players hit the ball hard
and scored many boundaries.
Adam Bone took 3-63 and 14 year old Aaron King took his first
wicket for the club at senior level on his debut.
A couple
of half chances in the field could have changed the result but
Harborough eased home to victory.
