Buckingham Town 3rd XI vs Kingston Bagpuize 2nd XI
Bob Hutt writes:
Buckingham Town 3rd's travelled to Stoke Hammond for their
saturday league match against Kingston Bagpuize 2nds.
Heavy rain just after tea saved Town from probable defeat.
Skipper Ian Wilkinson won the toss and batted and Town struggled
with the bat. Of the opening batsmen Tom Hill(17) did well did
well likewise young Callum Cater(34).
Buckingham were bowled out for a modest 130 and at the end young
Ali Shaw(23) did well scoring valuable runs. For Bappuize
R. Oakley took 4-50.
With Bagpuize bottom of the table a win was vital for them and
they made a solid start without much trouble reaching 54-0 before
heavy rain caused the match to be abandoned.
