Stoke Hammond Youth vs Buckingham Town Youth
Bob Hutt writes:
A Buckingham youth XI travelled to Stoke Hammond for a friendly.
Both sides had a mixture of different age groups.
Hammond skipper 13 year old Francesca D'Agostino, a bucks youth
player, won the toss and elected to field.
In between the bad weather of late the teams were lucky to get a
game in and although the match started in light drizzle the rain
did stop to allow the sides to play.
Buckingham batted first and scored a respectable 95-7. Dan
Hassell top scored with 27 and was well supported by Ben
Cater(17), Frank Johnson(15) and A. Patel 11n.o.
Stoke Hammond Youth made a respectable reply closing on 69-7 with
M.Nesbitt(19) top scorer and D. Tooth(16) and W.Lawson(13) also
reached double figures.
Everyone enjoyed the match and it gave the youngsters some much
needed match practice in a season dominated by the bad weather.
