Buckingham Town Cricket Club - June 24th 2007

On a damp wicket and gloomy day Town were inserted and runs were hard to come by.

Adrian Freeman(21) scored useful runs and Adrian Johnson(10) and Chris Horsler(13) both reached double figures before a collapse. Colts Callum Cater(21) and Steve Brunning(14) both batted very well as Town closed on a modest 104-9 from their 35 overs.

Stoke Hammond just scraped home with a couple of overs left thanks mainly to opener Mark Parrott 52 not out and Pete Roads(22). A dropped catch when Parrott was batting early on proved an expensive miss. However Buckingham's young bowlers did very well bowling with a wet ball.

Steve Brunning 2-28 had a good day with two good catches as well and tidy bowling also came from Josh Hill 1-19, Callum Cater 0-6, and Tom Hill 3-13. Chris Horsler 0-18 from 7 overs also did well.

Newcomer Steve Hallet took 1-14 from his three overs. chris Guy was tidy behind the stumps.

Youngster Josh Hill made his debut for the Town seniors and bowled his spin in impressive fashion.
