Buckingham Town Cricket Club - September 15th 2007

Hammond batting first scored a useful 234-9 from their 40 overs.

Bob Hutt(21) and Joe D'Agostino(12) gave Hammond a steady start and J. Kempster(18) and A. Patel(18) steadied the innings. At 82-4 Town were back in the game but Mark Parrot(59) and H.Patel(35) pushed the score along quickly.

Y.Patel(16) and Tom Tooth 16.n.o. also scored useful runs.

For Town Skipper Stuart Helps took 3-21 from four overs.

Tom Hill took to good outfield catches and youngsters Rob Laird, Steve Brunning and Callum Ctaer all bowled economically. In reply Town lost two quick wickets.

Two of Town's most improved youngsters this year Dilshan Direkze(54) and Callum Cater(23) batting very well turned the game Town's way.

Town then crashed to 134-6 with victory hopes fading. Young Tom Hill(43) batted well and along with Stuart Helps(19) Town still had a chance of victory.

Helps was caught on the boundary as Town went to 200-9.

Last pair at the wicket Chris Colbourn 28n.o. and Steve Brunning 8n.o. did well and Town closed on 230-9 just five runs short of victory in an excellent end to the match.

Yirrell, Barrett and J. D'Agostino all bowled tidy spells and Flack, H.Patel and T. Barrett grabbed a couple of wickets apiece.
