Banbury vs Buckingham Town 2nd XIBob Hutt writes:Buckingham Town sunday 2nds visited Banbury for a friendly and surprisingly managed to play some cricket on a day where there was plenty of rain about. Both sides agreed to play a 30 over a side match. Banbury batted first and scored a useful 169-5 from their 30 overs. Tom Hill (80) was in fine form for Banbury well supported by L. Savin(43). Callum Cater picked up 2-29, Steve Brunning 1-18 and Jonny Cater 1-17. Buckingham went off briskly after Jonny Cater(50) had been dropped first ball off the bowling of Steve Beck. Jonny threatened to win the match on his own but was stumped. H. Sellahewa(14) and Mark Parrott(14) batted tidily but Buckingham were 111-6 when the rains came with seven overs remaining.
