Chase Farmers vs Buckingham Town
Bob Hutt writes:
Buckingham Town midweek side drew their match against Chase
Farmers at Ascott Park.
Skipper Hutt won the toss on a hot day and chose to bat first.
Stuart Parker returned to form with 63 runs and fellow opener Lee
Tomlinson made 33. Useful runs came from K. Patel 24n.o. and
Adrian Johnson 16. Chris Coates was in fine form at the close with
a hard hitting 42n.o. to see Town to 189-4 from 42 overs.
Chase in reply saw John Watson(49) and Nick Reynolds(29) in good
form and with Mark Parrott(33) Chase almost won the match but closed
on 186-8 just 4 runs from victory.
Graham Sear 26 not out along with Roger Rolls(11), and Jason
Ell(11) just failed in an exciting finish. Chase had 36 overs to
reach their target. For Town Matt Dipple 2-18 dismissed both
openers and Chris Coates completed a fine match with
2-42. Lawrence D'Silva, Kirtley Patel and young Frank Johnson had
one wicket apiece.
