Skipper Hutt elected to bat and Town made an impressive 257-5. Andy Thatcher, dropped early on, went on to score a hard hitting 119. Good support came from Jonny Cater 53 and useful runs came from Chris Watt and Matt Thatcher. The Farmers made a good start through Nick Reynolds(70) and A. Jarvis(25) but after they had been dismissed Town got on top and only M. Parrott(28) and P. Critchley,jnr,(21) offered any resistance. Chris Watt took 3-18 for Town and Darren Harland, K.
