Buckingham Town 2nd XI vs Blackthorn

Blackthorn won the toss and batted and scored a useful 167-9 from
their 40 overs.
Lewis(57) was the main stay of their batting.
Jon. Thorne,Aaron King and Chris Wigan grabbed a couple of wickets
apiece.
There were 34 wides from Town's bowlers. Nev Pritchard took three
fine catches. Buckingham won a tight game with just one wicket
left.
Middle order batsmen Chris Coates(28) and Tom Hill(25) did well
scoring valuable runs after Ian Wilkinson(11) and Anant
Peshavaria(19) had given Town a steady start.
At the end after being 127-7 Robbie Cook, Jon Thorne and skipper
Nev Pritchard did well to see Town home.

Great Horwood 3rd XI vs Buckingham Town 3rd XI

The two clubs arranged a friendly sunday match to give their
youngsters some match practice and Town won by 25 runs in an
enjoyable match with the youngsters on both sides doing well.
Town scored a respectable 135-8 on a damp wicket with Darren
Harland(36) and Kevin D'Silva(21) top scorers.
Young Harry Martin(14) opened the innings and did well likewise
Callum Cater(21) who was run out. Horwood youngsters B. Baker
3-11 and D. Armitage 3-24 bowled well.
In reply Horwood made 110-8 thanks to Bobby Ridgeway(52)
D. Garrat(18) and John Goodger 16n.o.
All Towns young bowlers did very well. Luke Stafford was tidy with
only 10 runs from his 8 overs.
Joe Payne, Jake Mallett, Harry Martin, Frank Johnson and Callum
Cater all took a wicket apiece.
