Buckingham Town won their Sunday League 1st XI match by 10 runs
away to wellingborough Town.
Town scored a useful 218-7 with Kevin D'Silva top scorer with 70.
Good support came from Dewayne Bowden retired hurt for 54 and
Jonny Cater 48.
For the home sideB.Patel took 4-45. Wellingborough made a
spirited reply losing by 10 runs being bowled out for 210.
Jonny Cater 3-27 and Graham Judd did the damage with 3-48.

Buckingham Town 2nd XI vs Great Brickhill 2nd XI

Buckingham Town 2nds suffered a heavy defeat to Great Brickhill
2nds in their sunday friendly losing by 103 runs.
Brickhill put into bat scored briskly against Town's youthful
bowling attack with Higgs(47) and McLoughlin(45) giving them a
good start.
Their efforts were supported by T.Sibley(41),C. Westley 51n.o. and
A. Bowden(34) as they reached an imposing 256-5 from 40 overs.
Darren Harland 2-50, F. Johnson 1-23, and Jake Mallett 1-24 were
the wicket takers but all the young bowlers did well and a couple
of dropped catches didn't help matters.
Facing a daunting task Town were bowled out for 153. Adrian
Johnson batted very well for Buckingham scoring an excellent 75 as
Town lost to a strong BricKhill side.

Buckingham Town Under 13 vs Great Brickhill Under 13

Buckingham under-13s played their final league match against Great
Brickhill under-13s on Sunday June 29 at Bourton Road.
Buckingham won the toss and chose to bat. Opener Harry Martin
smashed 3 fours off the first over before falling to an excellent
catch at mid wicket. Will Handyside continued the run feast with
a quickfire 30 runs before having to retire. Jamie Craik and Ben
Gilroy ensured the home team posted an excellent 128-5 in their 20
overs. The pick of the Great Brickhill bowlers was Drew Burrows
with 2 wickets.
In reply, the visitors main threat came from their hard hitting
opener Kowbeka with an undefeated 30 runs, including 6 boundaries.
Good support came from Robson (16) and Matthews (8). In the field
Steve Cox was outstanding with 2 superb catches. All the
Buckingham bowlers performed well and their were wickets for Ella
Johnson, Tom Evans, David Beasley and Will Handyside. Ben
Southers finished off the innings with a sharp stumping giving
captain Harry Martin 3 wickets in 5 balls the home team triumphing
by 14 runs.
