Buckingham Town Cricket Club - May 7th 2008BTCC Under 14's vs Stony StratfordJohn Pengelly writes:Buckingham Towns Under 14's continue the winning startsBuckingham Town Under 14's entertained a Stony Stratford team on Wednesday night.Last years form team Stony put Buckingham in and produced a fine bowling and fielding performance to restrict Buckingham to 99 for 4 off of there allotted 20 overs. Whitehead (10), Cater (16) and Martin (5 no) all scored runs but the star of the innings was a fine 33 from Buckingham's Josh Hill. Stony started their innings with high hopes, however they were soon put under pressure from Whitehead (2 -7) and Hill (1-8) and some excellent fielding by the Buckingham team resulting in 2 Run Outs. Cater, Major and Mallett each balled wicked maidens before Cockayne rounded off the innings with Stony still only on 29. An excellent performance from all, Josh Hill been picked as Man of the Match. |
