Buckingham Town vs Tiddington
Andrew Holland writes:
Town disappoint in Cup Semi
As the final Division 1 side left in the draw, Buckingham started
their semi-final against Tiddington as favourites. They won the
toss and bowled first. Cooper and Goodman got the visitors off to
a good start as runs were scored at close to 5 an over. They put
on 60 before the introduction of Graham Judd brought the
breakthrough. He had both openers caught by Jason Ell off their
legs. The new batsmen continued where the openers left off, with a
partnership of 72 to reach the last 10 overs at 162-2. Krynauw
fell to Ben Stafford for 25 but Habib continued to score
quickly. He had some chances, but kept going. Wickets fell
regularly at the end of the innings, including Habib (90 off 99
balls) as Tiddington closed their 45 overs on 228-7. Stafford the
pick of the bowlers with 2-29 from 8 overs.
In an attempt to start quickly Dan Harris was promoted to open
the batting, and added 51 in 8 overs with Leigh Tomlinson before
being bowled for 25 (18 balls). Jonny Cater joined Leigh Tomlinson
and the 2 set about giving Buckingham a platform. They added 43
before Tomlinson fell for 39. Graham Judd came in to put on 65
from 71 balls with Cater as Buckingham set themselves up for the
victory. Cater reached his 7th 50 of the season before Judd was
bowled for 30. At 159-3, 70 were needed from 13 overs. Cater
continued to bat well, but lacked support. The slow bowling of
Pykett claimed 3 wickets before Cater was bowled for 87 in the
44th over to leave Buckingham 6 runs short.

Stoke Hammond vs Buckingham Town 3rd XI
Bob Hutt writes:
Buckingham Town 3rds had a comfortable 5 wicket
win over Stoke Hammond in their end of season friendly.
In a 45 over per side match Stoke Hammond made 227-5 thanks
mainly to Yogi Patel 78 not out supported by Joe D'Agostino
(38) and Mark Parrott 38 not out.
In reply Buckingham reached their target thanks mainly to Adrian
Johnson opening the innings. He went on to score 100 not out
and batted very well. He was supported by Tom North, who survived
a couple of early chances, and then went on to hit a 70.
