Great Brickhill vs Buckingham Town 2nd XI
Bob Hutt writes:
Buckingham Town Sunday 2nds ended the season with a 49 win over
Great Brickhill 2nds in a good game of cricket. Buckingham were
inserted and youngsters Ollie Shipman(25) and Frank Johnson(17)
gave them a good start.
Yogi Patel then came in and hit a sparkling 60 and skipper Hutt
chipped in with a good 32. Joe D'Agostino 23 not out and Luke
Stafford 11 not out scored valuable runs at the end. Young Jordan
Helps once again batted very well.
Great Brickhill made a tremendous start through Glen Burrows(66)
and A. Sibley(26) and looked well on the way to victory but the
introduction of Frank Johnson 3-23 swung the game Town's way.
Frank bowled well and was supported by Joe D'Agostino 3-23 in good
form with the ball. Town's fielding was excellent and Stuart
Helps took a superb one handed catch in the slips and Luke
Stafford took three good catches. Great Brickhill 2nds closed on
170-10.
