Buckingham Town lost their sunday league match to MK City
by five wickets. Town batting first made a steady
start through Ade Johnson(16) and Alex O'Dell(13) and next in
Mark James(51) batted well. Graham Judd scored a useful 34
but Town only made a disappointing 177-8 from their 40 overs.
Tom North(18) and Josh Whitehead were the only other players
to reach double figures.
MK City chasing a modest total won comfortably with opener
J. Lall(64) leading the way. Brijesh Valambhia 3-34 bowled
well and there was one wicket apiece for Frank Johnson and
Vish Valambhia.

Stoke Hammond vs Buckingham Town 2nd XI

Buckingham Town 2nds lost their sunday friendly
away at Stoke Hammond by 9 wickets. With a very
young side Town elected to bat and James Carter(29)
and Richard Webber(13) gave them a steady start.
Young George Wilkins again batted very well for his
51 runs.
Skipper Bob Hutt(32) and young Jack
Wilkins(29) batted well as Town made a respectable
190-8. Bob Kempster 0-26 was tidy from his eight
overs and Robert Tooth took 3-32.
In reply the Stoke Hammond innings was dominated by
Mark Parrott, who after several near misses, scored his
first ever century retiring on exactly 100.
M. Emmett retired on 53 and A. Srikumar 24 not out
saw Stoke home to victory.
Town's young bowlers
stuck to their task well and good performances with
the ball came from Ben Cater,Jack Wilkins,Danny
O'Donnell and Oliver Plummer-Clarke. Richard
Hallows took the only wicket and young David Beesley
making his debut for the Town showed promise.
