Great Houghton vs Buckingham Town 2nd XI
Bob Hutt writes:
Buckingham Town lost their sunday friendly away to Great Houghton
by 60 runs. Houghton with several first xi players scored a very
useful 233-8. Frank Johnson bowled well with 2-25 from his eight
overs. Town's young bowlers O.Plummer-Clarke, Joe Robey, Jordan
Helps and Jack Wilkins all bowled well. Adrian Freeman behind the
stumps did a good job and Jordan Helps took a smart caught and
bowled catch.
In reply Town made a steady start through Josh Whitehead(12) and
Kevin D'Silva in good form with 26. Middle order batsman Adrian
Johnson(21) who substituted for his son Frank who was injured,
looked good before being trapped lbw.
Young Jack Wilkins again batted very well for 25 not out
and Stuart Helps hit a sparkling 46 not out rapidly as Town
closed on a respectable 173-6.
